“Dynamics” refer to the physical influence of forces on the motion of bodies, to differences in sound levels in music, or generally to changes in situations or conditions. Our everyday usage of the word and especially of the related adjective – dynamic – is less nuanced. At the 37th Hybrid Talks scientists and artists will use the noun and adjective as a point of departure for their ten-minute presentations. We will hear about energy and friction, learn about musical dynamics, and experience how small changes can have serious consequences.
The speakers are the following:
- "The Dynamics of Power…"
Prof. Mathilde ter Heijne
UdK Berlin | Institute of Time-Based Media and Performance
- "Chaotic dynamics within laser light"
Prof. Dr. Kathy Lüdge

The Hybrid Talks (held in German) aim at promoting mutual inspiration and invite networking. Representatives of different disciplines encounter each other and share their perspectives on the topic “Dynamics” through short 10 minutes presentations. After the presentations we will continue our exchange across individual disciplines in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Hybrid Talks are a conversation format initiated by the Hybrid Plattform, a project platform of the Berlin University of the Arts and the Technische Universität Berlin. The platform serves the cross-disciplinary exchange of art, science and technology.
