Saturday, 06/24/2017, 7 p.m. University Library in the Volkswagen-Haus, Fasanenstraße 88, 10623 Berlin
The second edition of “Pecha Kucha Campus“ is on its way! Almost exactly one year after the well received event in 2016, we once again reserve the stage for students, colleagues and alumni of the TU Berlin and UdK Berlin. Within the program of the “Long Night of the Sciences“, the stage is yours to inspire the audience with your projects and ideas. You won’t have too much time though…
Make it short! A Pecha Kucha presentation consists of 20 images x 20 seconds. Thus, presenters have exactly 6 minutes and 40 seconds to present their projects to a large mixed audience. The performances will be recorded, published and part of the global Pecha Kucha Community.
From student's projects and artistic research to StartUps and projects by professors, we will have a diverse program with a broad range of themes. To give a small preview, Professor Pflugmacher Lima will be presenting his project "Green Liver", which gives insight into the world of ecotoxicological research. Students participating in the UdK project "Hacking Utopia" will stimulate the imagination with progressive designstrategies for a society in demographic change. And artist Marco Donnarumma will give an opportunity for reflection upon the demarcation of concepts of self and others in an algorithmicised environment.

But that’s not all…
... “slam the library“ will conclude an exciting evening. The poetry slam is a well tested and highly entertaining format, which pits performers, so called slammers, against each other in a rally for the favor of the audience. Weather you present sharp social critique or light-hearted everyday experiences – the audience will vote with their affection.
“Long Night of the Sciences“ (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften)
“Pecha Kucha Campus“ and “slam the library“ will accompany the “Long Night of the Sciences“ program in Berlin and Potsdam on Saturday, June 24 from 5 p.m. until midnight. Around 70 scientific institutions will take part. Check out the full program here.
All Contributions are being recorded and made public within the Pecha Kucha Berlin Community. Here is a small selection:
