Meeting with Caroline Drucker from soundcloud

We had a very interesting meeting with Caroline Drucker, the marketing manager for SoundCloud last week. SoundCloud is the biggest online community for sharing sound / audio, and also one of Berlin's most exciting start-ups. It was particularly interesting for us to get an insight into SoundCloud's work ethics and environment, and to see for ourselves how fast and flexible this particular start-up is working and expanding.

We found quite a few connections between SoundCloud and our activities on Campus Charlottenburg: where researchers, scientists, musicians and students are working on a wide range of aspects of sound and music, new compositions are being produced, films are being scored, acoustics researched and music is being archived, played and recorded. And since SoundCloud is constantly on the lookout for new developments in these areas, a collaboration could and should be in our future!

The Hybrid Plattform strives to be a small and flexible organisation between UdK Berlin and TU Berlin. This requires understanding and fulfilling the expectations that both these longstanding institutions have of us, as well as being adequate partners to our stakeholders in the creative industries. This is a good challenge that we are more than willing to meet!

With thanks to Caroline for the inspiring chat!
