Since five years, Hybrid Plattform has been in cooperation with Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart. This public foundation offers an interdisciplinary and international fellowship program for artists. Furthermore, with the "art, science & business" program, young researchers and representatives of the business world are offered residency fellowships.
A part of the cooperation are residencies at the Akademie for researchers (sorry, no artists!) of the UdK Berlin and TU Berlin. Every year the program offers for one researcher of the Campus Charlottenburg a studio at the Akademie, free of charge, for a period of three months. Grant payments are not provided; remuneration payments and one-time travel expenses are handed by the sending organization.
A stay is possible from October to December 2018. The researchers may use the premises for their own research. A fortuitous outcome of the stay would be a joint event by the Akademie and the Hybrid Plattform on a topic of the selected researchers' choosing. It is expected that they actively participate in academy life and get into contact with other fellowship recipients.
There is particular interest in exchanges with engineers and natural scientists. Currently the Akademie is dedicating its "art, science & business" program to the main topic "Engaging with Histories: An Everyday Life Practice", however there is no need to have one's own focus on that topic.
Currently we are again looking for fellowship candidates who would like to work at the Akademie for three months.
