Hybrid Talks XXVIII “View & Perspective”

That which we see with our eyes, that which draws our gaze, influences both our notion of the surrounding space as well as how we perceive our location and our position in the world.  Our gaze is therefore anything but neutral; it can be channeled in one direction or another by artificial means. How do buildings and the very urban fabric convey not just space but societal ideals or even power relations? How does our view encode the exterior world for our own memory? And then what is our perspective in space? What does our gaze perceive when it comes to the vastness of the galaxy? These and other questions are the focus of our 28th Hybrid Talks.
